Hi - First post...... simple question.

I recently became the proud owner of a sweet 1966 Blackface Champ. All original - except the 2 prong plug is not original according to my amp tech guru. Properly installed.... not original.

I want to keep this baby as clean as possible. I am looking for a cover. Does not have to be vintage or by Fender (I would prefer Fender) but it needs to fit the Champ. I checked the Fender website and MF, zzsounds, et al. Nothing mentioned the covers would fit a vintage Champ.

Any recommendation? Thank in advance!!

And heres a pic of the amp - with my '94 American Standard Strat. (Seems to be the appropriate thing to post). And yeah..... it has a very sweet tone

Go to a local Taylor or Seamstress and have one made. Just tell them which material you want or supply it to them.

Sweet amp by the way congrats. I have a 74 SF Champ that's really sweet. I record and mic it to play small gigs. The old Champs are way better than any new Champ currently produced. They are rock solid and hand wired. Very easy to service. Did your tech check the caps for leakage? Or did it recently have a cap job. Have fun.

My amp tech gave it the once over and gave it the seal of approval. He comes highly recommended by the local vintage shop.

The guy I bought it from had it since 1984 and didn't play guitar - he was a bass player. So the Champ had been pretty lonely over the years  Not the case anymore.

After a more diligent search, I found www.amplifiercovers.com , they also have an ebay store. I just received a cover for the Champ.

It is FANTASTIC and fits the amp perfectly. All edges are hemmed and sewn. The cover is black vinyl (with a slight leather texture) with a soft felt interior face. This puts the cover that came with my HRDX to shame.

If you are looking for an amp cover for a vintage amp- I highly recommend this company.

The only thing to realize is when they say 10-14 days for amp cover to be shipped after ordering - they mean it. Not sure why as their ebay store said they had 10 in stock. But so be it. It was well worth the wait.
