Your wife tells you what you can, or can not buy?.

I guess it depends on your financial situation. I have no problems like that now, but I did years ago from my now ex wife when I was younger. :D

My wife is too good to me. She should put the brakes on me at times. I'm not complaining though!

I guess it's because I don't consider myself a 'gear-head'. I have three great Strat, a real '66 Jazzmaster, and a great playing Epi Dot 335. I have three great amps, so I don't NEED any more equipment.

Now I would like to have a EC Strat, and a Flying V, but I really don't need either. This would mean I would have to get two more guitar stands, I can't play the V sitting down at home and both my red '88 Strat and '72 Strat, play and sound great. So my wife knows that if I buy any gear, it's that I really need that gear.

When my wireless broke, I brought another one and when I brought my friend's '63 Vibroverb RI, I got a BOSS ME-20 to use with the V-RI. She didn't say a word. Besides I work, and she doesn't, and I pay the bills.

In the words of the immortal B.B. King "I pay the cost of being the boss".

My wife says "No!" all the time but I buy all the time anyway. We're still married after 24 years of "No!" and gear aquistion. Never lie, just tell her it followed you home.

I'm the same way. I pretty much keep my gear forever. Most of my stuff is old. I sold off a lot of my stuff when I decided to semi retire and before I got involved with the woman I'm with now. She's just wonderful and has supported everything I do for the past 23 years with never an argument,
I only get what I need and keep pretty much what I buy for the long haul.

How's the amp, if you got it already?

If you did, the statement below is voided.

If you plan on staying home only, then get the vibro champ. Less wattage= better sound when quieter. But if you know you might go to small gigs with it, then take the super champ, unless you're sure that the gig can be miked, then get the vibro.

I personally love mine and can't get enough of setting '1'.

It's much better to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission
