Hi, I'm new to this site and I just bought what I'm told is a 1966 Fender Reverb Tank. I wanted to know if there is a way to be sure this is the real deal. The only info I can see is Model-6G15 and Production-46. Thanks for any help on this-Nick

I have a 66 Reverb unit that was given to me by the original owner and the model number is the same as yours. The production number is a little more obscure, as it was hand written. My understanding is that Fender often did not date their products.

Congratulations, great unit. Unfortunately your best bet might be to email Fender consumer relations.

I replaced a reverb unit in a '66 Super Reverb a couple of weeks ago. The unit looked old, but I don't know if it was original. I don't know if this helps, but here's some pix:

The stamped number in the second pic is 6811

The reverb unit the original poster is talking about is a separate stand alone reverb unit that plugs into an amp like a stompbox does.
