Ok!
1) What color is the metal front panel. Black or Silver.
2) Look for the serial number. Go round to the back and look on the metal of the chassis at the top right hand side there may be a chisel stamped number perhaps starting with A.
3) Looking from the back and inside the cabinet probably on your left there should be a white label listing the tubes and layout. Are there any numbers stamped on this label?
4) Check for any numbers on the speakers.
5) Check on top of the large transformers for numbers. Means getting down low and using a flashlight. Do this with the power unplugged!
Cheers

its a 100 watt vibrosonic reverb. it says CBS on the back so im assuming this is when fender was owned by them. the serial on the chassis is A74925. the main transformers serial is 022889. the sticker that shows the tubes, the serial on that is 047944. it has a orange fender cerwin vega 15" in it. thanks for your help.

ok!
Vibrosonic Reverb Amp.
Produce from 1972 - 1981. 100watts 1 15' Speaker.
Same as Twin Reverb in most respects except fo the single speaker.
From the numbers you gave me my info tells me that serial number A74925 is 1974 Silverface.
Speaker fitted was generaly the orange Fender PS15.
The number 022889 is the Fender part number for the output transformer.
The number on the tube sticker means nothing to me.
This amp probably has a solid stae rectifier ie no tube for that.
Master vol pull switch increases the volume as on my Proreverb but this is not a poular feature.
Its a heavy mother!
This is all the info I have.
Cheers.

thank you for the info!! i am wanting to replace the tubes in it. if i bought new tubes would the amp have to be biased afterward? also what does "matched" mean when it comes to tube pairs? do all of the tubes in the amp have to be "matched"? thanks so much
