My brother gave me his Fender Twin Reverb that he bought back in the middle 70's. I had it re-done electrically and reconed. It sounds great. My question is which model is it? I've looked for it on this site and I cannot find one of this model, this Fender Twin Reverb has a "Master Control" knob by itself on the right side. The master control can be pulled out for more power or sound. Can any help me with this?

Thanks for the response, I was wondering, how do you hook up your effects pedal, in the front or back?

Hi.
Try and find the serial number. It probably is chisel stamped on the rear right side of the chassis. Probably starts with the letter A or possibly B.
You could also look for some numbers on the power and output transformers. This means getting down low and shining a flashlight on them. DO THIS WITH THE AMP UNPLUGGED FROM THE WALL AND DONT TOUCH ANYTHING UNLESS YOU UNDERSTAND THESE THINGS.
Regards.

OK, will do, but it will be awhile, we don't practice till next week and my amp is in the practice room. I appreciate the info and yes, I'll make sure to unplug! LOL

I have a 75 Super reverb that i just purchased and it has a master volume. With the master on 10 and the knob pushed in it sounds great, but if you pull the knob out , it doesnt sound very good at all. Great idea, lousy execution.

I only used the boost once in 1976 when I first bought it. It spent all the rest of this time on 10 and pushed in. I pretend it doesn't exist.

My brother plays better lead than I do and he used the master pulled out, said it worked for him. I tried it and it doesn't go with my style.

Any of you guys use pedels on this sweet amp?

It'll take just about anything. I've used everything from a Fuzz Wah to an Ibanez Tube Screamer to a Big Muff and English Muffin. They all sound great.
