Once I get my long dreamed of Blackface Bassman head I was looking to use a Marshall Vintage Modern cab with it.

Does anyone here use Marshall for Fender amps?

I have 2 bassman heads - a 1964 and a 1966... and I sometimes play them through a 1960A marshall cab. The 2 heads have different circuits, and I personally like the 66 best through the Marshall. It breaks up nicely at a lower volume than does the 64.

I don't think you could get a better hard rock or punk sound than this set up. Nice distortion, very punchy! Think Guns and Roses first album"s guitar sound- in my opinion...

Well thats what Izzy Stradlin played on AFD so thats why lol.

Thats what I'm looking too, hes been my guitar hero since I was a child.

He was using a Mesa cab though.

Cool.

I also am using a Fender Tweed Champ on a 80's 1960a cab and I love the sound so far.

I've been playing my 66 through a 2X12 loaded with Eminence's equivalent of the Vintage 30 (great cheap cab I got from avatar speakers) and it sounds great. I've used it through a cheap Marshall 4X12 (AVT?) and that sounded pretty decent, but my 65 sounds best through a mid-70's Fender 2X10 cab that I got in a deal with my Musicman 65 Reverb. Check out the Musicman amps if you get the chance, I have an HD One fifty that has a tone all it's own. Plenty of headroom too!
