If I were to use my 66 Bassman head (4 ohms I think) with the new Jazzmaster Ultralight cabinet (2 ohms), would this be a problem?

Thanks in advance

It'll make the amp run hotter, and it could burn up your output trannie or something else in the amp.

I have a 1966 Bassman head, and I run it with a recent-issue VK212 cabinet, which is 4 Ohms and matches perfectly. You might want to try one.
