Hey everybody. I just bought a 1976-77 Bassman Ten, which has 4 - 10" speakers and puts out about 50 watts. I'm loving the sound of it, but there are some stains on the grille cloth that are driving me nuts. I think they're probably just cigar smoke/dust (the previous owner was apparently a big fan of the coffin nails), but I don't want to devalue the amp by cleaning it wrong. Any suggestion on how I should go about this?

A toothbrush and a tiny bit of washing up liquid and a light touch.

Try some "Woolite Spot and Stain Wipes". I used some on some Tolex and it worked wonders.

Ok, thanks. I also have another question: when it comes time to change the preamp tubes, can I swap in 12AX7s for the 7025s without having to re-bias the circuit? It's not that I don't like the 7025 tone, but they seem harder to come by than in years past, especially compared to 12AX7s.

12ax7 are good as 7025s as far as preamp tube
avoid 12aT7 theybare use for reverb or trem aplications in fender amps
check out groove tubes sight for a namp tube guide it's really good
but buy new tube s at your local dealer!
