Ok, I got this 5F1 running for a few weeks but I blew a fuse yesterday. Replaced it (with the right fuse 2A/250V Slow Blow) and it blew as soon as powered on. So I removed all tubes, preamp, power and rectifier, replaced the fuse and powered on. Again the fuse blew right away. I guess it wasnt the tubes.

Upon visual inspection I cannot find any crossed wires or burnt caps. Although I cannot test, dont have multi meter. Would you say the power transformer might be shot?

Ok, note to self since no one else is here.

As I expected, the PT was bad, will be replaced. Possibly caused by a bad tube. Waiting for PT replacement before further diagnosis can be done on tube.
