Congrats. I'd keep anything you remove or change. For reverb, I'd go with an external unit. Personally, I find that I don't even miss reverb with a good amp, but that all depends on you and your style of playing.

I have 2 suggestions: have a 3-prong (grounded) cord installed and keep any old parts that you replace. I'm a big fan of the amps from that era, congrats!

Hey Foo,
Before you do anything listen to the amp as it is. I have a '64 Brown Face circuit 6g2 Princeton totally stock and it is amazing just as it is. I'd leave it alone.

thanks for your post,i truly appreciate your time, the general consensus is "leave it alone"
that's what im a gonna do,except for a general check up and a 3 prong plug,i don't want a meltdown!
much respect,

foomoto, You won't melt down, there's just an increased shock hazard.
Glad you're keeping it stock. :D

i have never been much of a collector , but i love the tone of this amp,
there are some issues that i will have to deal w/ down the road, one of the Vtubes plastic base is cracked,it hasnt lost vacume so its fine and the age on the amp is growing on me, it was a road amp so there is plenty o dings and such.
thats why i became a member of this forum, there is alot of experience ,
and points of veiw .
I have owned quite a few amps and played through new amps that cost bunches more than my princeton but none has sounded this good, no comparison.
