I didnt know where to post it in either the vintage or modern amps since its a re issue but anyway..... I have a general question regarding my tubes on my 1965 re-issue fender twin reverb amp....I was noticing the other day that only 3 of the 4 tubes were "glowing" while in use for over 15min. shouldnt all 4 tubes be on? or does it need replacing? I bought the amp semi-used (2years old) with almost no sign of wear just 2 weeks ago.
there is also no change in tone or any kind of wierd noises coming from the amp but again, ive only been playing it for 2 weeks and really cant compare it to any other kind of sound or tone.
thanks,
-Erick

Sometimes a tube could appear to not be glowing. Can you take a look at them in the dark? Just to make sure?

just looked at it in the dark and found that it was not on. so I took it out to inspect it but didnt find anything wrong with it. so I took out a working one to compare and they both looked identical. so i switched them around (put the working one in the slot that was not working, and the working tube in the non working slot) and now all 4 light up just fine!!!! weird huh!!!!! re-issue vintage for ya LOL!!!! OH WELL, guess I know what to do now. thanks for the help.

It's likely that a pin on the tube wasn't making good contact. Glad it didn't cost you anything!!

Swapping like tubes between different sockets is always a good troubleshooting technique. Differeent sections of the amp will use different parts of the same type tube.
Good job.
