Hi,

I had a custom 2x12 closed-back cabinet built for my 68 Fender Band-Master head, and I want to install new speakers. Question is, what impedance should I be looking for in the speakers? What nominal impedance should I be staying away from? As an example I found a couple of 12" speakers that are offered in either 8 or 16 ohms nominal impedance. Which one would be ok for my amp? Or are neither of them good?

Can anyone help?

Your amp output impedance is 4 ohms, therefore, you should use 2-8 ohm speakers wired in parallel. Have fun, your amp is a tonemaster !

Let the music play !

Make sure you find the wiring diagram to do the job I heard some people end up blowing up speakers .....be careful :)
