What are the current values for old tweed Fender Bassman 5F6a Amps?

The ones that were copied by Marshall, High Watt, etc.

I have three of the old 4x10" combos and i have decided to part with one so I can restore another.

Two should suffice.

Not that I'm greedy.

But that I am not playing at this time.

Having parted with my baby to make bills--1963 Strat--I need something to soothe me.

Winning anew Strat would go a long way to that!

Anyone interested?

In the one 4x10" Tweed Bassman, that is.

The one that functions well that I want to sell is serial number:

BM02080

I bought in in about 1972 from in blues harp player in a dive in Spokane and it was in terrible shape. I had it in the shop for months, maybe years, several times before a fellow in Alaska named Edgington rebuilt it.

Quite a story around that one including his insistence on doing it his way and the last time I saw him he started splashing gas at the feet of his two female quests when he was bad drunk 'cause he wanted them to leave and me to leave his shop so he could get to work!

Man, I left that place in a hurry and figured let him burn my amps but not me! I didn't stick around to see whether or not he lit a match!!! I eventually got my amp back shipped to me in a thin card board box with no packing to the lower 48 but I still had to re-tube it.

He was one pissed off drunk. But he knew what he was doing. I'm sure he is deceased now but we had some good conversations BEFORE he decided to burn his shop warehouse down. He never burned it but had me convinced.

It works really good now. No crackles, no pops.

I don't know how to post photos here.[/img]

Here's mine, but it's used as the avatar on another forum. I'm not sure how to post photos here- maybe a moderator can help out on that topic.
