I know vintage amps don't have an effects loop, but is there any way to safely use an effects processor with it? Or am I just stuck with pedals?

Don't effect processors have a 1/4" mono line out or am I missing something?

Yes, they do, but I've never seen it in anyone's rig and haven't heard of it. Just didn't know if it was possible without an effects loop.

It should be no problem. You don't need an effects loop to run effects.

I used a Yamaha DX-90 back in the late 80s, by plugging my bass or guitar (whatever I was using at the time) into the unit, then come from the mono-output (not the stereo) into the amp.

Worked great for a double-tracked bass line, with 2 bass parts on it.
