Has anyone heard of him? I have a 1967 Fender Princeton Reverb that has been modified by an Ernie Falcon. It has a brass plate on the bottom left corner of the grille that states, "custom circuitry by Ernie Falcon".

Hi there,

I have the same 1968 fender priceton reverb amp with custom circiutry design by Ernie Falcon with a small brass plaque at the lower left of the grill. I know of 1 other of these amps and my fathers friend has it. The amp I have and the one my fathers friend has were built at the same time in 1970 by two brothers that were friends of my fathers, both have now passed and I aquired one of the amps from my father since he doesn't play and my fathers friend aquired the other after both brothers had passed away. I don't know much about these apms other than what I stated but I do know mine screams just like a hot rodded tube amp should!!

You wouldn't happen to have a photo of the guts of that amp? I get this thrill peeking under the hood, esp modded amps!

None on hand but I'll fire up the crappy camera and see if I can grab atleast a few pics for now. I do plan on pulling it apart for some good cleaning in the near future as dust has been getting to it over the years no matter how much I try to keep it clean and I need to check out the volume pot due to a little bit of crackling when raising or lowering the volume.

Thanks for the interest

Jeff

So I have done a little more research and found that my amp is actually an early 1965. I also found that Ernie Falcon was a technition and modded amps at a store named Chuck Levin's music located in Wheaton, MD. I know he was modding amps there from the early 70's to atleast the late 70's. Thats all I could dig up for now...Will post some pics just as soon as I can figure out how.....

Wheaton, MD......I wonder if he modded any of Danny Gatton's amps?
