Hello, Newbie here!
I just picked up a 1970 Princeton amp and was wondering what function the 3way ground switch on the back serves. I have read the "Horror" stories about 2way plugs-this 1 does have a 3way plug. What does the switch do???
Thanx for any info!

Anybody know where I might find a wiring diagram or schematic? Fender appears not to have them available for this amp?
Thanx for any help

It changes the polarity. It was used to reduce hum. All of my older Fender amps had them. They are dangerous. If your PA system or other band member is not the same polarity as your amp you get shocked if you touch your mic or if the other guy is touching his strings, you get zapped. I would get it converted to a 3 prong plug. There is an outlet tester you could use too. You can leave it that way as long as you are aware of the shock hazard.

I used to quickly touch the mic stand way back. If I got a shock, I'd change the position of the switch. A real stupid way of doing it LOL.

If it already has a 3 prong plug and was installed correctly, you have no problem. I'd still test the outlet though.
