My mother in law loaned me what looks like a relatively old Fender amp when we moved out so i could restore it/fix it/play on it. However, after plugging it in, it has a nasty buzz. So now I have a new project...HOWEVER, I can't figure out what kind of amp this is....no site/google/yahoo/dogpile can find the kind/serial number for this thing, so I thought I'd check here before bothering someone at the company..She used it as a keyboard amp, but this thing looks designed for guitar based on the knobs...

here are the details:

Says on front panel:

Fender
Twin Reverb

Solid State Series
SR2100

appears to be an aluminum/metal front, silver face with a black casing. Top of amp includes 4 inputs, one set for Normal (with a switch that says bright, then next to that has the adjustments for tone), and one set directly BELOW that that is for Vibrato (again with all settings for tone and reverb, etc.)

Very tall,

31 3/4 in X 18 3/4in X 10 1/2 in.

On back:
Model Number 2100
Serial Number 3095

manufactured in Santa Ana, California.

Again, I can NOT find anything on this baby anywhere else....what in the WORLD do I have here??, and WHERE can I find parts?

Also,....the knobs are very strange...

they don't appear to be a typical fender knob, they are wide, and flat, and look to be made of the same "aluminum" material the rest of the face of this thing is....

These solid state amps were made by Fender from 1966 to 1971. They are pretty rare, as they didn't sell too well, but there is still not as much demand for them. Most people (jazz guitarists and some country/rockabilly being the exception) prefer tube amplifiers. You could check eBay for parts. They come up every now and then. The buzz could be coming from a dirty pot, loose wire, or grounding issue (among other things). Check these before buying parts. It'll save you a lot of money, as they are relatively easy to fix.

I have this same amp i just aquired it, having 2 missing knobs replaced but other than that it's a very very sweet sounding amp, and they are quite rare, if you need schematics i believe that they can be ordered from fender still for about 20 bucks, i guess I'm lucky mine has no buzz hiss or hum, but I really dont know what there worth ? i just know that if you have a fender amp that 's 42 years old and still sounds this good and is in pretty good shape, it's a find

They were rare and they were really bad. They had a whole series of them. They didn't last very long. Most early solid state amps were pretty bad.
