Everything looks original to me. Back panel has a 67 on lower right corner. is there a serial number hidden somewhere? Anything else I should look for to pinpoint when this amp head was built?
Thanks for helping me out with what you know.

not sure how to post images. they are here:

I guess I don't have enough info to get an id on this amp

This is what the paper tag says inside the amp
Bassman Amp AB165 Production 37

Is there anything else I should post that would date it?

(Maybe someone could point me to directions on including images - the buttons do nothing but add img in brackets in the post)

There should be two letters STAMPED on that paper tag inside the amp...

The first letter is the year , the second is the month... (They started dating them this way in 1950...)

Years: A=1950, B=1951, C=1952, N=1964, etc. etc.
Months= A=Janurary, B=Feb., C=March etc. etc.

So... PK = Year=P-1966, Month= K-November...

Does that help?
Allan

Thanks Alan.
They are a little fuzzy, but looks like QD

Which would make it an April 67 model.

Sounds like a good year for amp heads.
I wonder if it has any history.

I have two blackface bassman heads, one from 1964 (AA864 circuit) and one from 1966 (AB165 circuit). I actually like the AB165 circuit better! It breaks up at a lower volume and reminds me of a Marshall sound... Supposedly Jim Marshall "borrowed" Circuit ideas from these amps in the 60's... Your amp is the same as my 66 (AB165) and in my opinion an awesome amp! I'm glad I could help with the "Born On" date.
