Coupling cap may leak ( like every thing thing can break in life ) but IMO ( to have repair hundreds tubes tubes amps) they rarely leaking.

I agree, with most BF and SF era amps. But, those Astron coupling caps Fender used in many tweed era amps, tend to be DC leaky. To the point of notable distortion and low tube life. Too bad, as they are nice sounding, when okay.

Definitely, worth measuring DC voltage across both sides of the coupling caps, in these old tweed amps. :)
