I've got a Fender PA 100 that was scavenged for parts that I am putting back together. I am curious about the twin speaker outputs. Does anyone know if it is safe to use only one output for a speaker cab (like a traditional Fender amp), or do they both have to be used? Thanks!

Few research with Google show solid state amp like your PA100 don't need load ( speaker ) at each output. You could drive amp with using one output.

Be sure to match source to load. The PA100 is a 105-watt platform and its minimum speaker load is four ohms.

Thanks, I'll probably run only 2 output tubes (inside or outside pair) and run it into an 8ohm cabinet.

That should be safe but you won't have the prototypical cut/boost tone-control functions as with a normal Fender guitar amp. Some pedals might help to compensate though.

It is a tube amp !!! Not Solid state !
Tube amp must always have a load at the output ; speaker or resistor or dummy load

Retroverbial is right.
One output could be used with 4 ohms speaker load,
Both output are connected together / in parallel, you canuse only one output jack

Here's the schematic:

Same output transformer as a Twin reverb or Dual Showman, apparently.

Yes, it should be OK to use only one output. If you only run 2 output tubes, then an 8 ohm load would be more advisable. If you run 4 output tubes, then a 4 ohm load would be optimum.
Note that if you're going to use this amp for guitar, you might want to change the input impedance.

+1

As well, note the relatively low first-stage plate voltage -- you may need to "heat up" the guitar signal via an OD/boost pedal (a Fulltone OCD would probably work well).
