I purchased my Sidekick 35 Reverb new around 1990'ish and still use it today. The one you have pictured is a little different than mine. My amp has a toggle switch instead of the rocker that your's is showing which tells me that yours is possibly an earlier model, possibly mid to early 80's. I might be mistaken though and they started making amps with that rocker switch in the mid 90's.

Also, the knobs on mine are round where yours are formed. I'll try to upload an image this evening.

Don't lose faith in the possibility of finding a vintage amp for peanuts. Go to estate sales, flea markets, pawnshops, junk shops, etc.

I found a MINT 67 Princeton Reverb at a junky electronics store. MINT. I paid 265 plus tax after a little haggling. Yes, I haggled. I didn't want him to know he had a $2500 amp on display for $300.

I'll post pics soon.

Keep looking- you will find it!

peace :D

I agree completely. I recently picked up a '66 Tremolux that is absolutely showroom condition except for one repop knob.

I have no way to post pictures but do have an early '66 Dual Showman I purchased new that is still if excellent condition.

Here is my mostly stock Princeton Reverb. It is a '67 model w/blackface circuits and a "12 speaker. I was told it was one of the first made with a silver face. It is too bad the previous owner spray-painted the grille cloth. I am looking to replace that with some new "aged" grillcloth. Does anyone know where I can find it?

Vintage '74 Super Twin and an '83 Sidekick Reverb 20.
In addition to the newer amps shown here, I now have a Marshall MB30, a G-DEC 30 and B-DEC 30.
Yup, I love them Fenders. 8) 8) 8)
