Arjay, She is a beauty, it has me wanting and Eric Johnson strat right now :D ,or maybe we can start placing orders for Arjay customs, cause you can't get a sunburst EJ in rosewood.

Thanks for the kind words.

I planned this guitar for about 2½ years before the actual construction began. I needed a lighter instrument after health issues forced me to find an alternative to the Les Paul.

And you are still toting around those cabinets?

Not as of late. Most of my work is performed with my '64 Vibroverb and a '64 Pro Amp.

Yeah, and the package is still manageable from a load-out/set-up standpoint. Plenty of dB's on tap too -- 80 watts total, one D130F and one C15N.

Slowly building on my collection to catch up to some of you...
- 65 Bandmaster transformed into a 2x12 combo
- 74 Princeton
- 77 Princeton Reverb
- no name 1x12 cab that's the same width as the Princetons
- Dr. Z. Mini Z Head, Dr. Z 1x12 Cab

And have purchased a '60's Showman head that should arrive shortly.

Several people here helped a lot on component selection on transforming the Bandmaster from a sorry head into a great combo. The Princeton Reverb was also in bad shape, but with Mazda 6V6 bottles, a Deluxe transformer and a new Jensen, it's a great practice amp for the band. Hoping to add some more Fender tones - perhaps some browns and tweeds? Saving up my pennies... The Princeton is now my daughter's practice amp as she's been playing now for 9 months, taking lessons Saturdays and playing with me during the week after work.

And no, the faceplate on the '77 Princeton Reverb is not original. The original one looked like someone had taken a belt sander to it - illegible and looked like crap. Happy to show everyone its Pull Boost roots and as a '77, wasn't afraid to mod it to my liking.

Can only imagine it being sold as a set to a budding student - very nice!

Not so different from today's "Strat Pak" marketing concept, actually.

What is a Bronco Board ??
It is a Bronco guitar with a matching Bronco amp , same amp as a Vibro Champ ,different faceplate .
I don't play the Bronco that much but I love having the pair to show off occasionally !
