Uncle Spot's web presence "disappeared" a while ago, and it contained some useful info pertaining to transformers and chokes. Here are some links to that info. Save the info while you can, if that is your inclination.

You're most welcome. At this point, I have to thank jmattis for curing my temporary amnesia about the "Wayback machine" with his post in the Stratocaster forum.

I endeavor to post useful and accurate information when I can, because I have learned so much here. My experience in the tech world has more to do with UHF and microwave radio than guitar amps, so this is just my way of saying "thanks".

No sweat, Vinyl. My FCC license lists only endorsements for radar, microwave, and UHF/VHF radio but somehow I manage to fix an amp or two on occasion.

You're doing fine.

What, no low band? I have what used to be a First Class Commercial Radiotelephone license with a Shipboard radar endorsement. When the FCC "threatened" to get out of the certification business, I had to obtain further certification from N.A.R.T.E and N.A.B.E.R. for work, but in the only example of when the government got out of its own way that I can think of, when I renewed my F.C.C. license it became non-expiring.
People would come in to the radio shop all the time asking me to fix their TV. I don't remember a single time when someone would come in and ask me to fix their Fender Guitar amp.

I think only rustpickers still dick around with that LF/ELF stuff (NCA comms for their submerged boomers).

I have that same FCC First but I never got around to tap-dancing with NARTE/NABER over re-certs and since I tuned my last transmitter in 2000 it didn't matter anyway.
