It is time to put in a new speaker in my early 1968 VC. There are a lot of choices out there, I have read on this forum quite a lot about the Weber Speakers 8A125, 8F150, 8,A100. I have been reading lots of good reviews on the Jupiter 8sc, and considering buying it.. Any thoughts on this, I play a American Standard Strat with fat 50's and an SG with PAF Humbuckers
Oh and from all of the reading I have done,it sounds like any will make a big improvement so ultimately I guess I can't go wrong

The Weber is an excellent choice that won't disappoint. Be sure to specify a 4-ohm voice coil.

I've been using the Weber, 8F125 ceramic. Works well. Just fits.

I have been thinking Weber and than I started looking and they have way too many choice, not a bad thing just gets confusing, I am going to go with Weber though.
BMW2002Ti, why did you choice the 8F125 over the 8F150 (Big, strong, well controlled low end. Detailed, later breakup. Very loud and aggressive with a lot of punch and dynamics for an 8" speaker).
Do you have the 8F125 (Loud as heck for an 8", aggressive, bright, later breakup), or the O (Warm, crunchy, early breakup, aggressive. Loud and aggressive) or T (Bright, detailed, later breakup. Very loud and aggressive for an 8" speaker)
Did you get the narrow, or standard basket. I am considering the O but not sure about the early breakup I do play the VC around volume 7 with the stock basket

Steve's posted pics of his amp (it might in fact be a Bronco) several times and IIRC his Ferromax is a standard-frame speaker.

Yes. The Bronco is identical in every respect to the Vibro Champ save for the front panel with its red-lettered amp name.

Yes, the 8F125 is standard style speaker basket. The "125" was the largest ceramic magnet available, when I bought the speaker (about 5 years ago).

P-bucket is down, at the moment. I'll try again, later today.

It seems you do know more about these things than a lot of members here so I do respect all of your advise. Do you think CJ is just protecting the company so I dont come back saying it doesn't fit either because of the wrong Cap can or the fact maybe some people try to install it with the chassis still in, or as

This came while I was writing the last reply. And thanks I am going to order the standard basket at 4 ohm. I have seen that photo of the Bronco just needed to make sure it has the same cabinet dimensions and Arjay assured me of that

Looks like two different amps to me (note the tube chart location of each).

Yes I noticed that and the baskets look different, both are Weber's, are they different models or different basket size
