Wife's uncle has two, he thinks they are ca. '60's...I'm Thinking more like 72-ish, mostly b/c th MV/PP
Both have MV, push/pull, both 212, look identical front to back

1) Serial - A98756, speakers - 2 JBLs D120f serial 24271, 21032 stamp in the cone
2) Serial - B08230 or 08280 (hard to read), speakers are different. 1-blue sticker Fender, 2-Jensen Vibranto (positive this isn't original)

I aapreciate any help.

Thank you

You'll find all the dating info you need right here......

As for the Jensen Vibranto speaker, they were never installed as OEM in new Fender amps but were often provided by dealers as warranty replacements for amps whose original Oxfords or Utahs had taken a dump.

JBL's were a factory-available upgrade until circa 1980 when they were replaced as an option by the Gauss PS-12.

Thanks for the link...though I'm a little perplexed.
Both have push/pull MV which I thought weren't around till about 74 or so.

The stamped code on the t'former is 606-4-22...I think meaning June 1964.

I'll attach a link to a couple photos if anyone is willing To take a look.

Schumacher number "606-04-22" could mean 1974.

That example's silverface cosmetics, the orange-stripe grill cloth, the self-destructing lap-joint cabinet, and the tranny ID code place it firmly in year-group 1974.

Great years for Twin Reverbs are the 1969-1975 85 watts "if you Blackface it."
IMO it's because of the much-maligned Master volume... I often gig a 75 that is BF'ed. (with a collapsible luggage carrier) I've owned a 67 and clean the BF 67 sounds great but...

An amazing player taught me a way of running a Master volume Twin Reverb.

You dime the mids and roll in the bass and treble according to suit, throw in your choice an American speaker (that breaks up moderately) i.e Jensen Ri C12N, Weber 12F150, WGS G12C, Jupiter etc... Diming the mids pushes that preamp hard. When you dime the regular volume & work off the master volume...

You get a nice moderate overdrive that sits in between clean and dirty. It's not a full-on overdrive, the negative feedback isn't going to let that happen in a Twin of these years... but its great for Country, Blues and Jazz. It's warm, has some hair yet very articulate. I could only get that tone by cranking my 67 BF Twin up to serious OMG volumes.

I will say IMO a recondition UL Twin Reverb is an incredible Hi fi sounding clean amp too. (just doesn't sound like a Blackface.. which is why they get a bad critique by some.
