Not in the AB763 DR schematic I have. The center tap is tied directly to ground.

The AB868 introduced the following CBS changes in late 1967,
Rectifier changed to 5U4GB but "A" or B+1 voltage remains the same (at least on the schematic). A 5U4GB's typical voltage drop is around 40v more than the GZ34 so the "A" or B+1 voltage should have dropped significantly from the previous AB763. Power transformer is changed to a model with no 6.3v center tap. Balanced 6.3v tube heater circuit is used with no center tap but with an artificial center tap made up of two 100 ohm 1/2 watt resistors. Bias filter cap is upgraded from 25uF 50v to 50uF 70v to decrease hum.

Try using 6L6 instead of 6V6, obviously the amp needs to be re-biased.
