I have an original December, 1960 Brown 3x10 Bandmaster (JJ) which has a tweed Bassman OT (45249 => 2 Ohms). I'm trying to find a completely original Triad 45216 OT (8 Ohms?) from 1959-1960. I'm not looking for a rewound, or reissue OT. Any suggestions?

Suggestions?

How about patience and unsurpassed treasure-hunting skills?

Finding a Triad (any Triad tranny) for a vintage Fender amp is gonna be a tough nut to crack. In the interim I'd suggest an O/T for a blackface Vibroverb (Fender P/N 125A7A). The primary and secondary impedances are similar to the iron in a 6G7 and the plate voltages at the output stage are near identical.

Best of luck with the search.

Arjay

That is one rare bird! The amps are hard to find. I have never seen one, in person.

Good luck, with your hunt!

I understand your desire. Just my perspective, I've been looking for an original tv Deluxe OT for a few years now. They are indeed rarities for any model, best of luck in your search!!
I would suggest Mercury Magnetics for a temporary replacement if needed, but Arjay's advice is worth more than anything I could possibly suggest; although nearly as rare!
I did see some NOS Schumacher's multitap on Ebay from seller muddobber5 aka (Mr Valco) not to long ago, but forget which models they were for at a very reasonable price. Maybe worth a look.
edit: Bassman 4/8/16ohm

So I should look for a Woodward Schumacher for the interim? I just happen to have a 1962 Woodward Schumacher but it needs to be rewound (not working). Who is the most qualified for rewinding this OT using period correct wiring/paper, ect?

I would 2nd Mercury Magnetic , they re-wound my deluxe PT. Its fairly expensive especially shipping and insurance but has been worth it. The only thing I would add is, if you want something done to it be very specific.
For example: If you want longer leads, tell them how many inches and what kind of wire you want. Otherwise if not in the order, you will get a re-wind w/ the exact external leads as you send it in with.

+1 for MM. Many years ago, I wanted to get an old Champ 25 running again, but the PT was open. I searched for several months before sending the original to MM, and they made me a clone. It wasn't cheap, but I wanted to repair the amp, (it had belonged to my nephew, no longer with us).
I got the amp running, and made a present of it to a sister in law that was close to my nephew, (it was worth the expense)!
