Hi,

I just bought a mid-70's Fender Twin Reverb. Before agreeing on the deal, I tested it and everything was working perfectly. However, after playing for some time, I noticed that the voltage selector switch was set to 200 volts, but the voltage in here is 230 volts. So I turned the amp off and put the switch to the correct position, as I've understood that using such amp set for the wrong voltage can damage it. When I tried to turn it back on, nothing happened. It was completely dead. Of course I then tried to put the switch back to 200 volts, but that didn't help.

What could have happened? Is it possible that I've managed to do something very wrong?

I did check the fuse. It looked normal, but just in case I changed it with a similar fuse I found from another amp, but that didn't solve the problem. Of course I cannot be sure that the replacement fuse was a working one, but that would be highly unlikely.

Look both fuses are bad if pilot light do not glow.
Be sure fuse are good; reading with a meter is a must. looking with eyes is not enough.

Be sure fuse is the right one. Second hand amp may have wrong fuse ( too powerful ) and can damaged the amp
