Try tapping the resistors in the power rail, with a wooden chopstick, and see if it effects the noise.

Good luck!

I tapped on the rail resistors and than tapped on just about everything in there and no noise, I turned it off several times and no noise, I plugged in my guitar played 1 to 2 minutes turned it off and the trail of noise happened, turned it back on tapped around some more, no noise, turned it off guitar unplugged no noise, repeated with guitar, trail of noise when turned off, BTW I allway set my volume all the way down before I turn off
I measured 416VDC to the 1K 1W resistor , 408VDC after it, and 381VDC after the 10K 1W resistor, can I assume the resistors are doing there job? I think I am seeing on the schematic 355vdc, 340vdc, and 320vdc in the same order.
Thanks

Well... guess we can rule-out PSU issues. Cap can is new. Power rail resistors are not damaged. One other thing, you have any compressed air in a can? Try spraying those PSU resistors and see if the noise comes back. Could be an internal conduction issue, within the resistor which are temp sensitive.

One other thing... the rectifier. Try pulling and cleaning the socket and pins. Do you have another 5Y3GT you could try?

Why a wooden chopstick, this is not a insulate tool and could be not safe :(
