Hi there! I checked out a 68 Champ today and my limited knowledge of Champs leaves me a bit confused. Power transformer date code was 606-834 and output transformer date code was 606-824 and it had the drip edge. So far, so good. It had a newer Jensen P8R dated 2200018. What was confusing was there were no cleats or screws holding in the baffle. It appeared to be the dado and glued baffle of later years. Did they make some Champ cabs in 68 that were dado and glued without the cleats and screws, or could this have been a 68 chassis put in a later Champ cab, or something else? Thanks much!
