Just thought I'd put this out there. I was finally able to remove an excessive amount of paint from my grill cloth. After trying numerous things like laquer thinner, ammonia based liquids, etc., I finally decided to try oven cleaner. I've known for a long time that oven cleaner can remove paint. I used to use it on model cars and it worked like a charm. I hoped it wouldn't damage it or take the sparkle away. Sure enough, after a bit of soaking and elbow grease, the paint is completely removed. I hosed it off afterward and all that's left is the typical nicotine stain. So if anyone is wondering, oven cleaner will work on the fender grill cloth that are made of a polyester type material. .....how do I post a picture?

You just need the right stuff ; paint remover.

You have to remove the gril cloth if to much paint to remove and to put under water to remove paint remover.

Yeah that's why I tried laquer thinner, reduce, etc. I'm a car painter. Was surprised they didn't work. The oven cleaner worked well though. And yes, I removed the cloth before hand.

IMO it is because the paint is in the cloth, not over like a car body.

It's not 100% but it's definitely an improvement. If I sell the amp, I'll just send it with it. I've already replaced it with a new one.

Not sure what you're doing wrong with the before photo, but that was a huge improvement! Well done!

Let me see... Google photo sharing is a little funky. I right clicked onto the link. Pasted the link to the address bar in IE. Then, copied the PROPERTIES (right click) of the photo I got on new bar. It was different than the original one.

Hit PREVIEW, first to be sure I have the photo. Then, SUBMIT. :)
