I'm replacing the caps in my blackface VC but I don't have any 10uf's for the V1B cathode on hand. I've got plenty of 25uf/50v's. Anyone notice much of a difference in this position with a 25uf there?

Thanks, UN

The 10uf will tighten up bass response. A poly cap is not too big to fit and is more articulate.

I don't notice any different (even replacing OEM 8mfd with 25mfd 'lytics). You could run two 25mfd/50VDC in series to get a total of 12.5 mfd, rated at 100VDC. The new Sprague Atom caps are tiny compared to the OEM Mallory or Astron. You'd have plenty of room.

Thanks guys. I think I'll throw the 25uf in and when I make up another order I'll include a few 10uf's and swap it down the road at some point. I usually play a Strat so "looser" bass is okay.
