A few years back, I picked up a Weber DR kit, (complete). I made my turret boards, and changed a few things. There is reverb on both channels, with each differently voiced. I had a Hammond OT with multiple taps, so I used it, with a switching jack in the aux output. Jack plugged into main is 8 ohm, when a jack is plugged into the aux, it switches to 4 ohm. (I know it wasn't necessary, but I had the OT!)
I actually finished the build last year, but had problems, and getting frustrated, I put it up, and went to another project. I got it down again, and discovered I had misread the multiplier color on a resistor, and replaced it all is OK! When I tried to install the chassis in the cab, all the holes were wrong, and the grill was too short, and too far forward, so I had to modify. Here it is now, I used blonde tolex to cover the extra holes. and built a spacer between the chassis and grill. I test fit the speaker I intend to use, but I need to recone it. For now I'll stick an Italian Jensen in it.

Bill,

Very nice job! Who are you going to have recone that great Concert Series Jensen? I wonder if someone can't silk screen a "Deluxe Reverb" logo decal for you?

:)

I'm sending the Jensen to Weber, they say they have the exact cone I need.
I am going to do something about name plates, and faceplate logos, but can't seem to find the time.
Decided to put a JBL in it until I get the Jensen back, I took it home and played through it last night, it is WONDROUS. The thing is really heavy though! I really got the "normal" channel bright, I tamed it with the tone controls, but the "vibrato" is just right with my SG.

Damn fine looking build, those little cabinet mods tie the amp together nicely. Congrats on the Finally!

Very nice job! That Jensen is the same model I have in my Bantam, has a nice early break up with a nice sizzle to it, well worth the cost of reconing.

I enjoy building, and am more proficient at it, than playing guitar!
My next project is a Bassman for my wife. I have all the iron from a Twin reissue, and will try to get something like a Bassman 10 - Bassman 100 circuit built. I thought about KT88 or 6550, but will probably just use a couple of 6L6's.

Thought I'd update with the old Jensen EM installed. The folks at Weber reconed it for me!

Amp looks great! Would be cool to get a custom name plate made. How about "MooreTone" (like more tone)? haha. I'm assuming that's your real name.

Played with it some this weekend, and I like the speaker. It is typical of a 60's "Fender" sound, not as much bottom as the JBL, but not as much (very) highs either. With the "Tele" (Texas Specials), or the SG (Dirty Fingers), the sound is plenty bright! With the Sho-Bud at medium volume, the sound is full all across the neck.
I'm working with a guy on the "Bay" who is making 3D plates, I'm think I'm gonna try some of them.
