I bought that same drip-edge molding from the same vendor -- it's identical in contour to the original stuff that Fender used......

Paul didn't have those corner pieces available when I needed them so I used recycled salvage from an old Bandmaster head enclosure. Those repros look good though, likely the same as Fender is now using on their '68 custom re-issues.

Arjay, Thanks, for the reply! Good to know. How did you cut the corners to fit?

Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up on the corners. I just ordered a set for my SFSR.

Jerry,

Tell us how you like the drip edge hardware works out. How's the SR?

Anything will cut aluminum. However, if you wish to create the precision 45-degree angles needed for a professional factory job, it takes a powered chop saw with an extra-fine blade.

And be advised, the baffle board (or valence panel) for a drip-edge amp is reduced by 1/16" at top, bottom, and each side to accommodate the extra thickness of the extrusion, in comparison to a blackface model.

I will let you know as soon as I get the new corners installed.

The Super Reverb ? Well, it's "Super".
The amp is still performing great.

Thanks for the source! Going to have to order some. Been thinking the 1x15 Bantam needs some bling added to it and this might just be the thing.

Hobby Shops sell saw with small tooth for this job.

Yeah, for sure.

That's how Fender did it......some guy with a piddlyass hobby saw, struggling to hold the extrusion steady with one hand so it made a perfectly-mitered 45-degree cut while desperately trying to keep the saw's teeth from chattering and tearing up the exposed anodized surface with the other.

Good luck with that.
