I have a circa 69-70 Fender Princeton. I brought it to a reputable repair shop for a new speaker, capacitor replacement and it worked well. Shortly after, it started to take ~ 20 minutes before I could get any sound, then worked fine, stayed on a sounds great

Has anyone experienced this?

Did it happen only once or does it happen everytime you turn it on now? Needless to say, if it's happening everytime you should take it back to the shop and have the tech look into it. 20 minutes is a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time to warm up......just sayin'.

Bring back to the shop, amp should play after 30 seconds.

+1

It sounds like one or more sections of the cap can are bad or the rectifier tube itself is marginal.

It take 20 minutes, or so, to get even a hum out of the amp? Something is seriously wrong. Even with a super slow warmup rectifier (like 6106), the amp should be ready in 30-45 seconds.
