Hi all, new member here!

I recently acquired this '66 Deluxe Reverb and it has a curious label/sticker on the back. Could it be?! Is there a Hendrix gear expert out there I can consult? I know it's a long shot, but what if?

Dymo label-tape makers were around back then but I wouldn't put much stock in that tag signifying Jimi's ownership. Anybody could've put that thing there. Unless you have further documentation, provenance is unlikely.

DR is in nice shape. You have any photos of the circuit, tranny numbers, and tube chart?

Thanks!

And Misters Dean and Durante spell their names J-I-M-M-Y.

I need to hunt down a label maker and start tagging all my gear "JIMI".

"Rob" for me, then people might wonder if it belonged to Robert Johnson.

I think short of finding some blood, sweat or hair on the amp that can be genetically matched to Jimi, it would be impossible to make the connection.

Now if I were to stick a label on MY amps, it would read "sound city"!

On another note, I hope this doesn't turn into a one-and-done post by the op. I'd like to know the answers to beemers questions.

They still make Dymo tapes?

I remember guys used to dymo tape all kinds of crazy stuff. Like "ON" and "OFF" next to a switch that already had those labels painted on. Or every specific tool size for the drawers in their tool carts. Crazy!

Perhaps they did it as an aid to the visually-impaired since the Dymo actually embossed the letters onto the tape strip......?

Been thinking what label to dymo onto my SF Deluxe Reverb. I know... "Buck," for Buck Dharma of BOC! Now that should raise some excitement, years from now.
