Before you go ripping it apart, consider that you do have a heat related problem. Most likely its a connection problem. Bad caps generally don't come back.
Go around the tube sockets and reflow the solder on all the pins.
The fact that you disturbed the sockets by changing the tubes without the tubes being the problem is significant. It points to the sockets as the problem. Your amp is certainly old enough for this to occur,.
Also, the socket pins must te tensioned properly to handle the heat of expansion. Look closely at the gap in the socket circle to detect loose pins.
Then resolder the large resistors on the board as well.
If that fails to fix it, then look for bad parts.

Wise words! Thorough cleaning of sockets, pots, tube pins, & tightening of socket tangs maybe all you need. You may need to replace some dried & tired filter caps, in the PSU. New tubes in the vibrato section.

Do all this first before surgery. Good luck!

Thank you guys for the advice. I played it tonight for 3 hours and it seemed to function properly. I didn't crank the volume as loud tonight and it seemed to be ok.

I have retensioned the tube sockets, but will do it again to double check the connections there and on the solder joints.

I appreciate everyone's help!
