I'm guessing this Fender Amplifier Speaker is before 1985 and knowing how my dad was it's probably from the 60's but I'm wondering if someone here would date this and maybe throw in any related info about it. It was in his basement in a box by it's self.

As a side note in case of any relation to the original question: Beside it in another box is another smaller special design with EIA code 1098210 with a piece of tape on it my dad wrote Deluxe Reverb. Also in the area are 2 boxes marked Pro Junior, a box with a box marked Jenson from deluxe reverb and a box with a Celestion G12M-70 England speaker Type T3576

I have:

"109" = American Condenser (?)

"8220" = 1982, 20th week.

A WAG.... the American Condenser EIA maybe a transition number as Utah changed ownership.

20th week of 1982.... Now I know. Thank you! I'll be on the forum posting a couple other things today.

"1098" is the EIA code for Pyle, who "inherited" the Oxford designs when the latter company folded its tent circa 1980.

The speaker does not belong in a Deluxe Reverb -- FMI's in-house P/N for that driver is "014827". I'm guessing it was intended for a high-power application such as a Twin Reverb.

Hi Arjay, I think the "deluxe reverb" he had on it was some place back in the 90's he was getting speakers from because I've seen some things say "from deluxe reverb" so maybe him writing "deluxe reverb" on it would've reminded him where it was from. I know some came from a guy named Clint Briley out of Clearwater Florida because I have hand written letters from him. Not sure if Mr. Briley had anything to do with a business called deluxe reverb.
