I've been given a chanse to buy back my old strat that I sold 35 years ago and been kicking myself ever since... It's a -67, (think that the neck is marked -66). It was originally sunburst, but have been re-painted twice, first black, and now sunburst. Re-fretted, tuners changed, bridge pickup not original, switch changed to a 5-way, whammy bar not original. What would be a fair price to pay for a guitar in this condition? And yeah, I really want it.... :D

A '67 Strat in unmolested condition would likely command a price somewhere north of $7.5K but being that so much has been altered on this guitar, it might fetch about five large. That assumes a competent refinish, original HSC, and no other modifications.

Try posting this in the proper forum section and you'll get more opinions.
