In the age of mobile devices, tablets and other tech gadgets, what apps do you guys and gals find handy for your guitars and effect pedals?

I have several older guitars, a Blues Jr. amp and a bunch of old school effects pedals (no multi effects units)

What am I neglecting to take advantage of using my Iphone and Ipad?

Don't believe I need an "APP" between my guitar, chord, wha-wha and amp! Might be tempted if an app could make me play like Clapton though!

Personaly, i've only used one. A tuner, and only for doing set ups on my guitars. If i were to use an ipad for anything, it would be for lyrics and tabs (getting old sux). But i've yet to get to that point. :D

Well Istrobosoft tuner is a good one. Tab builder is another one Ive used when I dont have tab paper and a pen.

Id just hate to have one of those moments down the road where I find out about something and say DAMN that wouldve saved me a lot of aggravation!

I frequently use Tuxguitar to tab out stuff only cause it came free with a tab cd I ordered. Basic but a good tool.

Not really an app "for" your old school equipment but I use an app called Anytune (iOS only). Its pretty great.
Import a song and you can slow it down, speed it up, change pitch, A-B flagging, etc. You can even use the preset filters to isolate certain frequencies.
I use this for transcribing songs. Bass is especially difficult because its usually mixed way down so that's where the filters come in.

I've used the Capo app to do that, but I just downloaded Anytune. Thanks for the tip.

Only app I've found that I ever needed and/or used is the Mandolin Tuner Free (Android). And I STILL suck on Mandolin with my stupid fat fingers. LOL!

I'm an app carrying member of the FB iOS Musicians Group and
favor using :

Music Studio 2/ GarageBand / Cubasis
iMS-20 / Shoom / Arturia / Sunrise Synth / Borderlands Granular
Amplitube Fender / Shredder / Midi Guitar
iLoud / Elastic Drums / Pocket Beats
Audioshare and Audiobus 2

I get most of my apps by volunteering to be on the beta testing. It's great
for deciding which apps you like as well as getting free promo codes. :D 8)
