When replacing the filter caps from an original AB763 circuit I notice most of the "kits" come with Sprague Atom caps of the following values:
80uF/450 (x2)
20uF/500 (x3)

But in this Gerald Weber video he recommends going 100uf on the two main caps, 40uf on the single screen cap, and stock 20uf on the other two.

Is this a reasonable recommendation or overkill or nonsense?

This will be for a '67 single Showman SF with a JBL D140F bass cabinet.

By the way not all AB763 are same, change your title .

I'll use original values or very close, the value of your kits are good.
Gerald Weber is not wrong too. It is up to you. Il use the values of your kit

I use F&T caps from Antiques Electronic, cheaper and good or better than Sprague.

+1

Increasing the value of the reservoir caps from 80 mfd to 100 mfd often has the effect of *slightly* tightening up the amp's bass response. However, on a tone-ring Showman with a JBL D140F this is likely unnecessary.
