Hi guys,

6 (?) months ago, I had a stack of parts, and a stack of amps and figured I'd start working on the to do list. Then work went insane. I finally put a proper output transformer in a 67 Bandmaster the other night, and wanted to do the essential work to a 1963 Bassman. My big challenge is trying to figure out the values of the 2 Mallory double caps, one per each channel. They seem like they are starting to fail and I wanted to double check what the value on them would be.

Here is a folder of some pics, in the family photo its the Blonde Head top left. The last pic in the album is the cap in question (1 per channel).

Thanks in advance for the help everybody!

Most Bassman use 25 mfd 25 volts caps.
I use 2 single Malory 25 mfd 50 volts for each original double cap.

Which circuits ? 6G6 ?
Shematics and layouts here;

Thanks for that info. I'm getting more comfortable doing essential work on the amps but reading schematics is still a work in progress. The amp is a 6g6-b with solid state rectifier.
