Hi all,

So I walled into this one, a Fender Twin reverb amp. It was dirty and had some mold, not bad. It is a master volume with the pull on mid boost.
The speakers are the silver and orange sticker ones w. ceramic magnets.
It has the casters on it and the chrome side leg bars to lean the amp back.
There does not seem to be a rectifier tube, there are 6 pre-amp tubes and 4 6l6 drive tubes.
It does have the reverb and it has a tremolo/verbrato. and to two button footswitch.

The serial number is " A 63117 "

I got a good deal on her because the tremolo was not working, I found as I cleaned her up that the number 5 tube had a bent pin. Someone had replaced all the tubes, and bent a pin on V5, I replaced it with a spare I had and sure enough, the tremolo works just fine.

I also got five Fender guitar cores and a Ibanez 9 volt wall wart, all for 400 bucks.

Here are some pictures before and after cleaning.

It did clean up fine, looks great and sounds great as well. It looks like the ones we built (When I works at CBS) in 1982.
My friend at my local Fender dealer thinks it might be a mid-late 1970's one, but as you know, Dating these amps can be a challenge.

Any thoughts?

Mid '73 production with OEM Utah speakers, similar to one I once owned.

Basically, a garden variety edition. Fender built them by the 1000's back then.

Thank you Arjay.
I did find a website that shows Fender serial numbers and year ranges, a late 1973 is what I came up with as well.

Glad she got rescued.

Now crank that baby and piss off the neighbors.

Cheers,
