Lenny, what is the tone like, between the tube and solid-state reverb units? I've never used a Fender solid-state unit.

Thanks!

I can't provide an opinion between the two as I don't have a reference point for comparing tube to solid state. But the YouTube link in the previous post gives a good idea of what mine sounds like. During the early years when I played out, I used it for certain songs, like Dick Dale stuff, which I don't play these days. So, it does not get much use.

I got to agree with my56strat and phansford, putting the reverb unit up front of my Princeton, Bassman, and Champ does seem to give them more sparkle (along with the Reverb).

Some great looking amps here everyone!

Here is my favorite bedroom practice setup, SF Champ pushed up against the wall(really makes it sound bigger) with tube reverb up front. Image

Backstopping the Champ's diminutive speaker against a wall tricks it into thinking it's mounted in a bass-reflex enclosure by increasing the acoustic loading on the diaphragm. The overall efficiency and low-frequency response are thus both enhanced.

Yes, the Kendrick Blackframe already sounds great for it's size, but the wall trick really does give the sound a boost.

Nothing wrong with a Super Reverb, Mike.

Nothing at all.
