Is there any "one" of them that you favor more?

+1!

It's got some real character......if it could only talk, imagine the tales it would tell.

Thanks….. I did have to finally add a grounded 3 prong plug to the Harvard this past year. The original plug just came apart from age. HaHa. So its not fully "original" anymore. I also put a replacement leather handle on it because the original was looking the worse for wear. Its stored away for safe keeping.

When I do play it now, I've been putting my 1965 BF Reverb Tank in front of it. That really adds to the sonic character of the amp.

Phansford, beautiful Harvard, and I find the same thing, adding a tube reverb unit in front of my amps really adds something special to the tone , I should have gotten one a long time ago.

I've had these two since bought new in my early years. The Concert and Bandmaster each have a sound of there own, so, I find it hard to favor one over the other......Image..by the way, the Concert is a 62, and the Bandmaster, 67.

Hey! Does that Reverb Unit work? Is it solid-state?

Thanks!

Yes, it works, and, Yes, it's solid-state, spring reverb. Also, like the amps, I bought it new in the mid-60's. Here's a YouTube post of the same model https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7zNeFwV2uA and a post with some description, (I also have replaced the power cord with a three prong cord). http://www.harmonycentral.com/reviews/p ... 000/587456

Lenny, what is the tone like, between the tube and solid-state reverb units? I've never used a Fender solid-state unit.

Thanks!

I got to agree with my56strat and phansford, putting the reverb unit up front of my Princeton, Bassman, and Champ does seem to give them more sparkle (along with the Reverb).

Some great looking amps here everyone!

That's because you're adding an additional gain stage to your signal chain and it's right at the front where the sonic effect will be the most dramatic.
