Found this awesome vintage fender cabinet from the thrift store the other day and need some help identifying it. It is pretty massive, has 2 15" speakers, black toilet outside and a black face. I was told it was a 65' but thats the only info the place had and I have no idea if thats correct. Is there any place I should look for easy identification? Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Photos would be a BIG help.

That said, what are the dimensions of the cabinet?

Are the speakers arranged horizontally or vertically?

Solid or open back design?

Color of the grill cloth?

Style and location of the Fender logo?

As mentioned, photos would be a BIG help......

Can you get a photo of the ID numbers stamped on those speaker magnets? They look like CTS 15-inch square ceramic magnet speaker. I have one floating around here, somewhere. Not a great speaker. I think it was OEM on my brownface Pro. Replaced it with a JBL D130. A very good speaker.

It also appears there is a date stamp on the top of the center divide. Last two digits should be the year.

It's a Bassman cab from 1968, with the CTS speakers dating to the 40th week of that year.

Just goes to show what some good closeup pics can go a long way in helping to identify a piece of long ago mismatched equipment.
