Hello,

i need some help dating my amp
it's a Deluxe Reverb Blakface (original not RI)

some clues :

Model is AB763
The first of the two letter code on the tube chart is illegible, the second one is "9"
it's a blakface amp labeled "Fender Musical Instruments"
Knobs have the set screw at the number "10"
The serial number that is stamped on the right rear of the chassis is A11496
The back panel states "Division of Colombia Records Division" (instead of "Division of Columbia Records Division")
The EIA number taken from the transformer is EIA606-851
The code on one of the smaller transformers is 606-5-39
the codes on the speaker are 022939 and below 328705

This amp has been bought in France

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks a lot and happy new year to all of you

Claude

Your amp's serial number falls within the range for 1965. However, the 606851 tranny number is not consistent with that year, nor is the Utah speaker.

Is the amp an export model, with a multi-voltage selector switch replacing the standard AC convenience outlet on the rear of the chassis?

The date stamp on the tube chart is in fact "OL" denoting a build date within December of 1965.
