Wanted to know what current hardshell cases (Both Fender and Aftermarket) could accomodate this bass? I know a lot of the short scale basses will fit in Strat cases. Any insight from fender?

The next question is a little more intricate. If one were to want to replace the neck on this bass with a standard scale neck is it possible? Would the neck pocket accomodate? How about the bridge positioning? Are there any possible complications?

I'm thinking the Mustang/Musicmaster case might work. Pretty sure a Strat case won't.

Its probably possible to replace the neck with a standard scale ( 34") neck but it won't play in tune. When a bass is built as a short or medium scale bass, the bridge is located according to that scale. If you replace the short neck with a long scale neck, the bridge stays where it was for the 30" scale and the neck needs a 34 " location. The bass will play increasingly out of tune as you go up the neck. A very frustrating bass to play IMHO.

Moral: If you buy a RASCAL bass. LEAVE IT ALONE!!!
As a matter of fact that goes pretty much for any Fender bass. Leave them stock.
If they ain't broke. Don't try fixing it!
