My Olympic White Pawn Shop Mustang came in today. The folks that put this one together did a fantastic job. Everything on it is the way you'd expect a Fender to be. This is a sharp bass, that sounds good going through the SB300. The Fender Humbucking is right on.

Really nice! I see the factory strings had a very short career! LOL

Very short. In their defense, they sounded good for factory strings. 8) They really did do an awesome job on putting this one together.

I'm not sure who made the factory strings.

Me Likey! Those awful sounding black strings look good against the white. I like the contrast, and the pearl pickguard looks spiffy too. Racing stripes means it plays really fast, right?

Yeah,…. I could have done without the blue competition stripes, but it's ok. Those awful sounding black strings sound great through this setup. The Humbucking is good with them.

It's a good short scale bass.

I see you can only fast forward, and not in reverse or rewind. {kids will ask "What does rewind mean?" :? }

Looks like it would be super groovy for reggae 8) Roll up a great big spliff, mon. To Kingstown we go.

It probably would be Groovy for Reggae, I'm not into that. I at least it doesn't skip though. 8) Hey! That's my 45 of Hey Jude, Man!

I use those "awful" sounding black DR strings on both of my Musicmaster basses, play them through my Line 6 Lowdown 300w. To each his own, I love the sound and feel of them.

Cool Mustang, enjoy!

I like it all, right down to the black strings. Congrats and enjoy for many years to come!

Pretty good. How about yourself?

I'm doing ok. The Super Bassman going through the Ampeg SVT-410HLF cab is working out good.

I have to admit I'm envious of that head.

I've been wanting to go back to a tube head for a long time. I went with the SB300, over the Ampeg SVT-CL. I don't regret going with the Fender at all. I tried both channels, but like the Vintage Channel, over the Overdrive Channel.
