I bought a Fender Kingman acoustic bass in Dec. 2013 and I love it I play it everyday for hours on end. Just recently I have noticed that the bridge is starting to pull away from the body. This is very sad considering it has never been abused I mean there is not a scratch on it. Has anyone ever heard of this happening or a remedy for it. I payed 700.00 for an american made fender and expected better quality.

Take it to an authorized Fender service center immediately -- they should be able to fix you right up. Bridge separation from a top is not all that uncommon with dreadnaught acoustics and a timely repair will prevent more serious damage.

I will say I was surprised when I saw Fender had moved to a pushpin bridge with this bass. I used to have an old BG-31 and found the string through bridge block to be far superior for bass. However, the Kingman has the J neck and tuners. Which make it an upgrade in that aspect as the BG-31 had the cheap acoustic style tuners. A shame they didn't merge the two designs. The electric neck and tuners with the string through bridge block would have been perfect, imo.
